Welcome to the website of the Catholic parish of St Dunstan’s and St Jude’s serving the Kings Heath and Maypole areas of Birmingham. Here you’ll find Mass and Confession times, copies of the weekly Bulletin, parish history and details of our schools. Activities cover liturgical and spiritual life,  work in the local and wider community and adult education. 29 September: ABC: About Being Catholic course (formerly RCIA) continues at 7.45pm in St. Dunstan’s Church Conference Room.


29 September: an Introduction to Plainchant at St Dunstan’s, following the evening Mass.  One of our parishioners, Brian Sudlow, will lead an initial meeting for anyone interested in learning about it and singing it. It is hoped,  if there is enough interest, to have a fortnightly meeting to explore and learn some of the treasures of Gregorian chant.


30 September: St Dunstan’s Parent & Toddlers: “Little Lambs” this  Friday morning at 10.15 in the Conference Room and  every Friday during term time .


2 October: There will be a second collection next week for the National Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.


4 October: Baptism meeting for parents wishing to have a child baptised will be held in the Conference Room, after evening Mass.


29th October 10—4pm: Traidcraft Open day at 179 Alcester Road South  



                                                                           

                                                                OUTSIDE THE PARISH

 

 Meeting Newman: a Saint for the Midlands. A 22-panel exhibition and a speaker-led event will be held on 1st October at Oscott, 14th November at Newman University and 26th November at Maryvale Institute. Follow the link for details of times and speakers   


5 October: The Newman Association Birmingham Circle meets 7.30-8.30   at the Catholic Chaplaincy, 29 Harrison Road, Edgbaston, B15 3QR 7.30pm – 8.30pm.  There will be a talk,  ‘Blessed John Henry Newman and Vatican II’ by Fr Guy Nicholls.
