NOTICE BOARD

St. Chad’s Sanctuary

is a voluntary project  supported by St. Chad’s Cathedral and the  Salvation Army. It’s a place of welcome and  hospitality for asylum seekers, refugees and  immigrants. Particular needs include suitcases (with wheels), rucksacks and cooking oil, as well as non-perishable foods, toiletries, razors, men's clothing and trainers (small sizes).Next collection: 10 September

                 JUSTICE & PEACE OUTREACH

   Generally meets every 4th Monday of the month in the Conference room. For more information see entry under “Activities: Overseas” and “Activities: Community.


                  BAPTISM

Baptism meeting for parents wishing to have a child baptised will generally be held on first Tuesday of each month in the Conference Room, after evening Mass.

Next meeting is 5 September. Parents are asked to bring proof of their own Baptism in the Catholic Church. To book a place at the meeting, please call 0121 444 8641/07505 363791.


                           Fireside

Based in Digbeth, this charity tackles the problems of those who are homeless and/or suffering from alcohol abuse. Wanted:

jackets, warm men’s clothing, socks and underwear, tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and hygiene items. No perishable foods please. Collections are on  the second Sunday of each month. The next collection will be  10 September.


SABEEL Wave of Prayer for peace            in the Holy Land

takes place every Thursday at noon in St Dunstan’s church.

                 Marriage Encounter Weekends

will be taking place at Barnes Close, Bromsgrove (Non-Residential) 9th-10th September 2017 and at the Ibis Hotel, Rugby (Residential) 24th-26th November 2017.  These are enrichment weekends and not counselling.  ME weekends have proved time and time again to be of immense value to couples however long they have been married.  All discussions are private to the participating couples; there is no group work.
